Uncertainty's Fight

Oh this life of uncertainty...

Filled with the smiles of a day

The sorrows of another

The hurts of others

The joy from one

The dreams to come

The dreams gone, shattered and torn

Dreams of sunshine, of rain

Of a brighter, better tomorrow

Turmoiled with storms of past, nightmares of present, fears to come

Battered and bruised, carrying memory of wrinkles and scars

Though relenting be easy, though forgetting be grace,

Though dying seem the answer to life

Fight on, fight strong, fight long,

For upwards we must go, onwards we must toil,

Though the seas be rough and the way seem dark,

Though life be grave and all love seem lost,

Though all seem bland, for nought, for none, for why

Onwards we must go, forever fighting,

forever dreaming,

forever loving

For the storm must past,

The drought turn green

Even a shimmer, a ray, a blade, a drop, a hope

For if not tomorrow then tomorrow's tomorrow...
